Please be gentle with me. I'm a writer, I don't know anything about coding, and this is my first ever game jam (as well as the first time I've ever used Scratch to make a game).
Note: I tried to fix it before submitting, but I can't figure out why the play again thing doesn't seem to work. I have to go to work early in the morning so I don't have time to troubleshoot it. If you want to replay the game, just press the stop button and then start it again, and it should work just fine. Thank you for understanding!
I made the art (drew it on paper, then edited it in Photoshop), made the menu buttons in photoshop, and I also created the 3 songs song you can hear in the game with a cool website called BeepBox (Scratch seemed to have very few options for adding multiple songs, so I ended up adding only the one song). Highly recommend Beepbox, I think I spent more time messing around in there to make cute little songs than actually making the game, lol.
The game's art was inspired by Trent Holbrook aka Miscast. He made this funky looking treasure chest man fishing on top of a big fish, and I thought it looked perfect for my idea of fishing in the void. I also inspired the fish from his art, and I would've added more stuff but I didn't have time, so there's only two types of fish. You can find him at Miscast.co as well as on YouTube.
